Welcome to my site! I am deeply passionate about promoting inclusion in diverse contexts and dedicated to sharing my research to inspire others.

As a Marketing academic at Charles Sturt University and a Research Fellow at Tourism Reset, my work delves into the realm of transformative consumer experiences, with a special focus on LGBTQI+ inclusion.

I have Chaired the Charles Sturt University Ally Network and continue to be involved in its leadership. I am immensely proud of our achievement in attaining and maintaining Bronze status for the university in the AWEI awards, a feat that earned us the Vice Chancellor’s Excellence Award in 2021. Since then, to mark National Coming out day in 2025, we launched The Hon. Michael Kirby, AC CMG – Empowerment Scholarship to support our LGBTQIA+ students as well as a LGBTQIA+ specific mentoring program for our students.

My commitment to inclusivity extends beyond academia. I am honored to have contributed to ACON‘s Research Ethics Review Committee and for championing more inclusive research practices with the Market Research Society (UK), earning the recognition of a Research Hero in 2022.

My work has impacted industry informing best practice guidelines for the Market Research Society (UK); supporting amendments to the gender identities expressed in the National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research in Australia; facilitating the organisation of rural/regional Pride events in the Australian communities of Bega, Orange, and Armidale; informing submissions to the NSW State Parliament on inclusion for LGBTQIA+ people, and now supporting the development of inclusive content for a multinational content platform.

Prior to my academic career, I worked in the market research industry leading influential projects that have shaped policies and practices nationwide. Some of these projects include contributing to the design of the Return and Earn Scheme in NSW, enhancing tourism development in the Northern Territory, and assessing care needs for individuals impacted by vehicle accidents in Victoria.
