The projects I engage in are dedicated to promoting meaningful inclusion, aiming to create a better world for all of us to thrive in.
Featured Study

Australia’s Regional Rainbow Survey (ARRS)
In 2024, in partnership with ACON, our first Australian Regional Rainbow Survey revealed something powerful:
🔹 1 in 3 people with a diverse sexual orientation,
🔹 1 in 2 people with a diverse gender identity
were hiding (or likely had to hide) who they are from the people around them.
You can download the 2024 report here.
ARRS aims to gather data to help create better services for LGBTQ+ individuals in rural and regional Australia.
Research areas
Rural LGBTQ+ Displacement

LGBTQ+ people in rural Australia face distinctive challenges, resulting in poor well-being and leading them to conceal their identity or relocate. It’s disheartening to feel alienated in the place you consider home.
My projects challenge the displacement rural/regional LGBTQ+ people experience.
Queer Tourism and Recreation

Tourism and recreation provide a unique opportunity for queer individuals to confidently express and experience their identity, thus informing a positive sense of self. For many, it is the first chance to authentically be themselves.
My projects support the design of experiences that can help build a positive self of self.
Design for Authentic Inclusion

Inclusion does not just happen but needs a considered approach. Performative inclusive design can backfire disadvantaging those it is designed to protect and undermining the credibility of those who implement it.
My projects foster meaningful inclusion for marginalised groups within social systems.
